Coming out of the Midwest, Browntown blends many musical styles and influences into one tasty soup. The ingredients: funk, soul, hip hop, and rock. The cooks: Calvatron on drums; The Swede on bass and vocals; Puma D s, guitar and vocals; Catfish on guitar and vocals; and The Hersch on saxophone and keys .



The name came from a 1983 Econo Line Van that Puma D owned in college, appropriately named Browntown. The old van is gone, but not forgotten, in the name of the band.



Browntown blasts out its unique sound in all yawls towns. The Browntown live show displays an onstage chemistry and comradery matched by catchy hooks, danceable grooves and sweet melodies. Just add the Browntown loyal fans, and you have the recipe for one groovy party.
