At it’s most fundamental element, Brevi's music is about the need to exercise personal demons using Pain as a driving force, much in vein of Janis Joplin, and her painful experiences are in abundance to draw from.
There are undeniable elements in her music that point directly to where and when she built her foundation. She not only respects the art of wordplay but also understands the dynamic between combining melody and rhythm with sharp wit, an uncanny sense of timing and an explosive stage presence, echoing homage to some of her favorite artists - Lauren Hill, Eminem and Billy Holiday. The result is haunting, sharp, thought provoking and undeniably good.
