BONAFYDE:



Growing up as dad's only child was challenging for Bonafyde. She was Daddys little girl with a mind of her own. At home, she was little miss goody two shoes but on the streets was a rebel.

Music has always been a part of her life. Her dad was a singer and guitar player. However, it was in high school where her singing talent emerged. She would get on the mike at parties and lyrics would begin to flow. It was the battle of the D.Js. Soon she became known around town as BONFYDE. It means with good faith.

As she puts it, It was a natural cross-over from secular to gospel music. Most of the lyrics I sing come from my lifes experiences.

Her warm personality draws young and old to her music. It is the sound of war that defies soci-economic or cultural backgrounds. Her lyrics speak into situations and expose the negative forces of the enemy proclaiming Jesus Christ as Lord.
