Bombshelter Videos Promotional Reel 1994 - Video
PUBLISHED:  May 20, 2007
DESCRIPTION:
Seattle's late night music video program, Bombshelter Videos (1987-1994) developed a cult-like following not just because it was more radical then MTV. And, not because it gave every indie rock band on the planet and opportunity to be seen on a weekly broadcast television network (KSTW TV11, KTZZ TV22)... It was the fact that, the sponsor's commercials were raw and cool and creative and equally as entertaining as the videos.

Fan mail regarding the commercials on the show actually exceeded fan mail about the bands. If you were a regular viewer of the show, these commercials will take you back to a time when music was cool (and sponsors weren't all corporations).

This video clip features commercials that represented the sponsors of Bombshelter Video and includes Premiere TV commercials for KCMU 90.3 FM, KNDD 107.7 FM and Scarecrow Videos! Plus Joey Kline's U-Coffee, Tattoo Emporium, LUNA, C/Z Records as well as promo for the show and the unforgettable program opening that viewers saw every week featuring the song people are still singing, "Bomb Shelter" by Naked Raygun.
