BOAZ

In 2007, Boaz was introduced to the hip-hop world under Point Blank Productions. Since then Boaz has released a series of mixtapes and a debut album that have fed the streets steadily while gaining recognition from the masses and building a solid fanbase. Starting with The Phenomenal which sold thousands independently, Boaz went on to release Monumental Music in February of 2008. With this release came the cosigns of major media outlets such as AllHipHop.com, XXL Magazine, The Source, HipHopDX, URB, Onsmash, Nahright, and countless other blogs, sites, and tastemakers who are the new gatekeepers of the rap world.
After teasing his fans with his prequel to the album entitled The Manuscript Boaz and Point Blank Productions released The Audio Biography in April of 2009. The album would go on to win over the masses, DJs, tastemakers, and fans in the States and overseas. Okayplayer says The Pittsburgh emcee whose name is often kicked around in the most prominent circles is pretty good with the words and is an emcee who embodies the raw, stripped emotion of Pittsburgh. XXL Magazine says I hear Boaz and I hear a new voice for the hustlers and his voice and style sound raw and gutter, but his music is that of a veteran. HipHopDx said Boaz lets trunk-rattling basslines, synthesized grind anthems, and stomping beats gel with intimidating verses.
Soon after these accolades, the staff of Myspace Music premiered The Audio Biography on their homepage for 3 days. Myspace says After dominating the underground hip hop world, this Pittsburgh rapper introduces himself to the masses with his debut album The Audio Biography. Soon after, the staff of iTunes honored Boaz as an Artist of the Week in May of 2009. iTunes says The sharp dressed rapper from Pittsburgh is likely to follow in Wiz Khalifas big footprints and shows of his wise hustler stance via verse after verse of molasses-thick wordplay. To end the year of 2009, Boaz was chosen by NYCs HOT 97 to perform at SOBs for their Whos Next showcase opening for Raekwon.
Boaz has stayed consistent with the times giving visuals for his fans at an enduring pace. His Youtube page has over 10,000 channel views and 150,000 plus hits total for videos. His Myspace page has over 300,000 plays and 250,000 views. He is also an active Tweeter who constantly interacts with fans through new technology.
The year 2010 promises to bring Boaz to greater heights. Boaz and Point Blank are set to release the mixtape Selling A Dream in March accompanied by new videos and gritty visuals. Look for Boaz to follow up The Audio Biography in the Summer of 2010 with second album. More to come. Stay tuned
