Badge of Apathy

The feeling of being at a show is amazing.

The way emotions come together to connect the band and the crowd

Also the feeling that you get when the effort which you put

into every riff, into every beat and into every word, comes back to you.



When Badge of Apathy was founded in 2004 everyone was clear

that this band was for more than ‘just’ music.

Five guys, named Peer, Gabriel, Matias, Tommy and Torre

from Hamburg came together to connect metal and hardcore,

which at this point wasn’t popular at northern Germany,

with sophisticated contents.

The first demo CD was recorded in the same year as the band was founded.

So the first step was done.



In the following year 2005 over twenty shows were played also quite

often with bigger bands like Maroon, As We Fight, Time Has Come,

Maintain, 3 Inches of blood and the destiny program.

Then, in summer 2005 bassist Torre decided to leave the band

and Henrik came to be the new bassist.

2006 was the year to go to studio and to record the first MCD

with Jörg Uken at soundlodge studio.

Just after recording another man was leaving the ship; Tommy laid

the guitar down and ex-Between Love and Madness Niko came on board.

But still more shows were to play with bands

like hand to hand and scars of tomorrow.



The debut album DIY was published in 2007 and more shows were played

everywhere in Germany with To Kill, Empty Visions, IOU, We Once Loved,

Between Love and Madness, Maintain and Walls Of Jericho. Label chief Micha

liked Badge of Apathy’s music and offered them a deal, which they accepted.

Badge of Apathy was now also working with the Canadian label The Enemy Records.

Hereupon a new CD was recorded this time a splitalbum

with ANEMIA which was published in March 2008.



About a year later drummer Matias left the band.

For exchange the ex-Bury Us All drummer Adrian joined BOA.

Soon shows with bands like Teamkiller, Narziss, Copykill were played.

Appointed with long learned skills and new ideas the for now most innovated

album was recorded and will be released this year.



Untill this date the band worked together with their friends

of BLAM on a split 7" which was released this april.
