THE BLUES DELUXE

Rickey Johnson(lead vocals) & Patrick Minnick(bass & vocals) have reunited in 2010 to form a band playing all of their favorite funky soul music. It was 2006 when the guys last performed together with guitarist & dear friend Errol Nelson(RIP) in their band, Funkiphus.



Patrick:

"At this point we are jamming, rehearsing the old songs, and searching for musicians that have the same kind of appreciation for this style of music Funky, foot-tapping versions of classics like Mustang Sally, Stand By Me, and Let's Get it On. We aim to stick close to the originals, while adding a taste of our own style to the unique renditions of these soul classics. Look forward to other selections by The Temptations, James Brown, Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding, The Drifters, and many more. We plan on including a variety of oldies for any love of live music and we aim to get you on your dancin' feet! Stay tuned."
