A band born of melody, personality and focused vision beyond its three year existence. This is the pedigree with which HEROES WEAR RED presents its self to the world.



As is the developmental process of any band, HEROES now finds themselves settled in the form of a three piece act, able to target the darkest and the brightest chambers of your heart with the perfect precision of pop appeal.



HWR was founded by bass player Gavin Wienand and vocalist Timothy Kroon who prove to be a formidable song writing team. New addition Patrick Smith completes the act on drums, perfectly complimenting an already powerful team. The subtle use of electronic programming combined with the raw energy of guitars, bass and drums deliver strong pop songs in a unique fashion. A formula which proves to be fresh and widely appealing.



2008 saw the independent release of the band’s debut album, “SURVIVING SEPTEMBER” – A 12 track journey through a landscape of melody, power and precision. HWR have joined forces with MUSKETEER RECORDS to further improve on the success of this already critically acclaimed album. Co- produced and mixed with additional programming by American producer Rae Dileo (best known for his work , Veruca Salt and Henry Rollins) the album possesses a rare international quality.



HWR plan to carry its sound work ethic into a new phase with national tours and a wave of promotion, exclusive merchandise, new and unreleased material online and videos to come.
