Blind Willies is a San Francisco rock band led by singer/songwriter Alexei Wajchman. After releasing two acclaimed Blind Willies CDs, The Unkindness of Ravens(2007) and Everybody's Looking for a Meal(2008), and performing extensively as an acoustic duo, Alexei has put together a new band of experienced young musicians accomplished across diverse genres including rock, jazz, classical, world, and hip-hop.
Alexei's songs have been played on over 200 radio stations around the world.
The new Blind Willies album, Needle, Feather, and a Rope, recorded at John Vanderslice's all-analog studio, Tiny Telephone, will be released in 2011. Needle, Feather, and a Rope was produced by Blind Willies and
Lemon DeGeorge(Jolie Holland, film Genghis Blues), recorded by Jay Pellicci(Deerhoof), mixed analog by Justin Phelps(Dresden Dolls, Cake) and Gabriel Shepard(Peter
Case, Frank Black) at Hyde Street Studios, and mastered by Paul Stubblebine(Ry Cooder, John Lee Hooker, Santana).
