Biography

With the seductive voice of Mathilde Lunderskov in front, Blake mixes cabaret and pop which take the listener for a ride on a quirky carousel; a ride guaranteed to thrill music lovers.



Blake’s first EP - produced by the grand old man of Danish pop music, Kasper Winding – is released this autumn. One of the songs ‘Hey Sister’ was selected among 1800 entrants to feature at “Karriere Kanonen”, a talent show on Danish national radio. The judges described the song as: “Organic pop perfection, from a group that has both experience and the ability to create catchy tunes.”



Earlier this year the band went on a mini-tour that covered Gothenburg and Malmo, as well as their hometown of Copenhagen. After the tour, the band focused on the recording studio, where they’re working on their debut album.

Blake’s music recalls the darker side of cabaret - typified by Weimar Berlin - spiced with elements of organic pop. The band specializes in elegant, simple, yet powerful arrangements, played with freshness and a touch of glamour. There is a thread of melancholy flowing through Blake’s music that gives it both depth and a poetic catchiness.



With music that echoes the work of Lennon, Kate Bush and The Carpenters, Blake shifts between recognizable influences and a completely personal sound. The result

is timeless pop songs that are both honest and sophisticated.
