dead for seven weeks

BLACK THUNDER from Hannover (Germany) were originally founded in late 2001(under the name Dead for Seven Weeks). After some self produced demos the first MCD was recorded in the Jangland Studio (Hannover) and has been released through a split on Fear The Reaper Records in April 2005. In Fall 2006 five new songs have been recorded at the Rape of Harmonies Studio Triptis (Heaven Shall Burn, Misery Speaks, Maroon, Burning Skies etc.) for promotional use, intending to search for a new label.

The music can be described as a kind of melodic death metal influenced by bands like In Flames, The Crown, Carcass, Iron Maiden Black Sabbath and Amon Amarth. The Lyrics focus on the wounds of actual, social and human nuisances. Until now BLACK THUNDER shared the stage with bands like Hatesphere, Bleeding Through, Cataract, Caliban, Fear My Thoughts, Walls of Jericho, Undying, Arkangel, Lay down Rotten, Destiny, Disillusion, Cult of Luna etc. all over Germany and Switzerland. Lately BLACK THUNDER signed with True Till Deaf Records. Their True Till Deaf Debut EP is going to be released later this year.
