2000 : The Thrash revival is alive ! Crush.Unleash the Beast and Dawn of the New Sun both embody the fusion between the best of European and American Thrash. Names like Kreator, Metallica (golden era), Testament or Destruction immediately spring to mind… A french tour follows with Broken Edge, as well as some opening slots for such bands as Loudblast, Samael, Rotting Christ, Amorphis, Moonspell, Patrick Rondat, Saxon.
Since the cult album Dawn of the new Sun has been sold out for ages, a re-print will come to stores in 2008. The massive LB Lab production (Boost, Loudblast, Hertz & Silence, Kragens, Aeons, Broken Edge, No Flag) shows no signs of age, pushing 11 epic tracks, raging and powerful ! Blackness is into musical fury. Between brutal accelerations, anthologic riffing, furious breaks and intense rythms, the band succeeds in including melodic parts to bring a bit of freshness into their intense and thick music with brillant guitar duets and solos.
By the end of 2009, Blackness is back with a vengeance and in the studio (Noisefirm Recordings), with Sylvain de Nicola - who could be heard as a guitarist on "Dawn of the New Sun". Their third effort, by the name of Stimulation for the Beast, holds 11 tunes of furious and powerful thrash-metal - old-school but still filled with surprises !

On pense irrémédiablement à Kreator, Metallica (Golden Era), Testament, Destruction et consorts. C'est alors que les lyonnais de Blackness frappent un grand coup sur la scène française. S'ensuit une tournée française avec Broken Edge et des premières parties prestigieuses : Loudblast, Samael, Rotting Christ, Amorphis, Moonspell, Patrick Rondat ou encore Saxon pour ne citer que les plus connus.
Dawn of the New sun est sold-out assez rapidement et c'est une nouvelle version qui arrive dans les bacs en 2008. La production énorme , signée LB Lab (Boost, Loudblast, Hertz & Silence, Kragens, Aeons, Broken Edge, No Flag) n'a pas vieilli d'un pouce, mettant en valeur 11 morceaux épiques, puissants et ravageurs.
Le groupe y déploie une furie musicale toujours maîtrisée. Entre accélérations brutales, riffs d'anthologie, breaks furieux et rythmes intenses, le groupe parvient sans mal à développer suffisamment de mélodie pour apporter à ces 11 salves les instants nécessaires de répit. Avec en outre des brillants soli et duels de guitare, Blackness démontre une cohésion sans faille qui n'est pas sans rappeler l'alchimie des plus grands.
C'est fin 2009 que Blackness, bien décidé à en découdre, reprend le chemin du studio. C'est au Noisefirm (Dyslesia, Adagio…), sous la houlette de leur ancien camarade de jeux Sylvain de Nicola, que le groupe enregistre Stimulation for the Beast, un troisième album de thrash-metal furieux et puissant mais toujours old-school et plein de surprises !
