"Blackie created something that we can't and we don't have to forget. Our lives changed since we started this project. It's something that requires time and hard work but nothing will be too much if done in Blackie Lawless' honour, the man who gave us something to believe in:

"WHO DARES WINS" (The Blackies)

"BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR.IT MAY COME TRUE."

.On stage with W.A.S.P. during the show - Switzerland 2004"

Late in 2001 Roby Black decided to start a W.A.S.P. tribute project; with Clanguss (drums) began to look for other musicians to complete the line up of the band. After they found a bass player (Skrash) they went on looking for a singer, someone with an high and powerful voice. After some month Roby Black was elected lead screamer and during the 2002 and 2003 the band had lots of gigs as other band's special guest.

In July 2003 Walter (lead guitar) joined the band.

The Blackies worked hard the whole winter and at the end of the year their first demo was issued: Blackies: X-Mas Edition; the demo contained 2 WASP cover : Hellion and Keep Holding On. The band chose these songs to show Blackie Lawless' two sides : the wild and the outrageous one, and the sensitive, which people often didn't see.

In March 2004 another demo was issued : Revengeance.

The band start gigging to promote their new show.

In May the band decided to follow W.A.S.P.'s European tour, great experience that gave the boys the chance to meet the band. A beautiful emotion that gave them a lash of energy and new entushiasm to face the new season.

In May 2005 the Blackies published “RUNNING AWAY TO THE BIG CITY”, a collection with the five covers to remember the trip of the band to Los Angeles.

In October 2005 Roby Black left for Los Angeles, during her stay in the city she was photpgraphed by “America's Most Notorius Photographer” Ward Boult. Ward worked with W.A.S.P., Alice Cooper, Bruce Kulick, Eric Singer.

In may 2006 the band recorded a new W.A.S.P. cover: “Rock and Roll to Death”, for a tribute album produced by danish “Codiac Records”, SHOCK ROCK HELLIONS-A TRIBUTE TO W.A.S.P. The album contains W.A.S.P.'s covers performed by european and american bands.

May 2007: the Blackies say welcome to the new lead guitarist : Space Cowboy. They're ready to kick ass and to spread everywhere W.A.S.P. music and to write their own songs. In July 2007 the band played at Rock Marathon Festival - Hungary. The place was really crowded, it was nice playing in fron of 5000 people, opening for Exploited and several other great bands! Thank you All!!!

Devotion and strong visual impact ensured the band the chance to play in several italian clubs and festivals and they still receive a lot of requests for show in other countries (Switzerland, France, UK, Belgium, Spain,Austria).

One day The Blackies could play in your town!!!!

In 2008 the band recorded a new cover "Wild Child" for another tribute album issued by Belgian label "Music Minds Memories" . Thanks Danny for everything!!!

2010 - The Blackies are still on the road, hope to see you all soon!!!
