Reginald Parrot aka Reggie P. is the newest phenomenon of the revolutionary Southern Music movement. Known widely for his rampant freestyles and infamous battles, Reggie P. is a major force to be reckoned with when it comes to the mic. His style is very rambunctious, raw, and poetic with a commanding presence that captivates listeners whenever he is heard.
Birthed and bred in the belly of the S.W.A.T.S. (Southwest Atlanta), Reggie P. began crafting his art at the early age of 8, where he became highly influenced by pioneers of the “Golden Age” of Hip Hop. Such influences included Outkast, Scarface, Geto Boys, Notorious B.I.G., 2Pac, The Fugees, A Tribe Called Quest, Digital Underground, 8-Ball & MJG, and many others. With such a mixture of different influences, this allowed Reggie to develop & formulate a unique style of his own. He soon tested his skills, involving himself in rap battles in his stomping grounds of Ashby & MLK (Adamsville). Many contested his skills but few failed to defeat the self-proclaimed “Freestyle King”.
Currently, Reggie P. has his 1st major project circulating the internet, Witness The Illest Vol. 1, hosted by DTP DJ - DJ Cee Money of Buzzdrop.com.
