Black Bear Combo

Black Bear Combo is a five or six member brass/reed band. Our sound is a raucous mutt inspired by traditional music from eastern Europe and the Balkans, filtered through our own noise/freejazz/rock backgrounds- We began in 2002 and with varying lineups have played many shows with many great bands- We've brought our sound to rock clubs, basements, and festivals across the country, weddings, funerals, Mardi Gras parades in New Orleans, the Halloween party at the 2009 White House, and much more.
