Inspiration

Binary Fury is about change through technology. Modern societies, in all of their writhing forms, move without the consent of any individual - things 'just happens'. People wake up one day and realize that everything is changing around them, and it is their inability to cope with these changes which contributes to much social stress.



The music is about individuals and societies vascillating between fervent embracing of this future, or complete rejection of it. In both cases, there is a distinct zeal, a passion that drives people to change, whether this movement is 'forward' or 'backward'. Machines are often used as a tool for progress, advancement, empowerment - a total expression of man's godlike reason and his unchecked primal fury.



The Name

The name came about for several reasons. I find it highly interesting that the entire virtual 'world' that exists because of computers can all be reduced to strings of ones and zeroes. However, our societies exist to serve people, not machines. When people attempt to categorize ideas or people into simple categories - and proverbially fail - they become frustrated.



Most allow this frustration to fester, becoming consumed with negative energy. However, anger can be channelled in positive ways if it is directed properly. Like a crude ore, the confusion, frustration, and anger most people experience can be refined into a highly potent fury. This fury can then be utilized as energy to improve the world instead of becoming a destructive force.
