hello,

i'm billy noom and i write and record.

i used to play in 2090 and in the accordion death squad

i also am trying unsuccessfully to run a collective label called birdrabbitrecords.

i was unknowingly and unwilling placed into this existence in the summer of 1981

i found myself in the suburbs of washington d.c., being raised by a normal and loving family, attending catholic school until i was 18.

it was around the formative years of high school that my brain began the involuntary questioning and dismantling of itself.

unanswerable questions of time, space, existence/non-existence, and death became a constant and obsessive torment causing search for necessary distractions to continue on.

this search is where the story begins and continues.

the search has taken my life into destruction and creation and does still.

love, career, politics, sex, religion, drugs, sloth, music.

i've diligantly examined and tried my hand at all these and many, many more. and i tell you,

of all these, music and art are the only ones i've found to be a somewhat reliable defense from the demons.

i know this only because, when done correctly, i find myself in a state of peace with existence, even if it only lasts for the night that i record the song.

the day after is always a sobering de-toxification and immediate re-toxification of sorts.

so i'm constantly searching for some type of absolution, or ultimate conclusion through creation.

this is what i've tried to achieve in each of these albums below.

obviously, this has been unsuccessful thus far or i would have stopped recording at the end of the first one, Strangers Now.

but i do think each album represents something good.

its a good marker for time passage of the quest for a hope, a hope for a hope, or just a wish for an achievable answer.

the search continues
