When you hear somebody say “Jersey” you may think of a fast city out East, or an exclusive throwback. In hot spots through out the Midwest when somebody say’s “Jersey”, they’re referring to the hot M.C. who’s been spitting fire on Mixtapes and at shows for the last 2 summers.

Born in Chicago, Jersey moved to its sister city Rockford Il., at a young age. “I came to Rockford when I was ten and moved to Champion Park Projects, a place known for selling drugs and gun violence”. “I have four Brothers, one of them doing life in prison.” Battle rapping since 16 you could reason that his fights with life spilled over into his fights with words. Either way it’s the authenticity of both that carries over into his music and gives it an edge that keeps the streets supporting his moves.

After a long standing undefeated streak Jersey felt it was time to make the next step. As he to made the transition from a battle rapper and forge his career as a recording artist he teamed up with local entrapanuer Big V. With the management team Big V Productions behind him Jersey has taken his battle tested skills and proved he can lay down hot tracks and hold down a CD as well. With his first project, Rock Star Records Mixtape Vol 1 “JERSEY”, they moved over 5,000 C.D.s’ and branded the imprint Rock Star Records, and the hungry M.C. as voice to be reckoned with. The second mixtape Big V. Productions Presents GoodFellaz’ moved over 7,000 copies and the newest mixtape “Streets On Lock” vol 4 already has myspace on fire with the lead track “D-BOY 2 STEP”.
