Big Strong Brute is the alter ego of 24-year-old Brisbane musician Paul Donoughue. He plays lo-fi folk and pop music. Over the past five years he has shared stages in Australia, New York and Berlin with artists including Jens Lekman, Mount Eerie, Tiny Vipers, I Heart Hiroshima, Ben Salter and Jenny Hval.
