BIG STAN INTERVIEW(speaks on DMX and future Plans)

Big Stan

The Light in the Dark

Under the guidance of one of the rap industry’s most

influential and legendary artists, DMX, Big Stan is

ready to step out and claim his own dynasty. With his

truthful lyrics, upfront style and desire to have a

positive influence, the era of Big Stan is about to

unfold and bring some balance back into the game.

Born Dennis Joyner, this Harlem native stumbled across

what would later become his passion for music. After

messing around in a friend’s studio, he soon realized

his talent and set out to take on the world of hip

hop. He quickly proved himself, battling weekly on the blocks of Harlem

with well known artists, such as Mase, and joining a group called NIB

(Niggas in Black). Big Stan was introduced to his then manager, Ray Copeland, DMX’s uncle. Word spread and it wasn’t long before he found

himself a member of one of the biggest names in hip hop, the Ruff

Ryders, led by the top dog himself, DMX.

After a production deal with the Ruff Ryders initially fell through, he

was later signed to X’s label, Bloodline Records, a distribution of

Def Jam. Working with X, Stan was able to further develope his skills and learn

from one of the best in the business. The two shared the same vision and

fought to bring balance back into an industry that seemed to have lost

any sense of value and truth.

Big Stan appeared on DMX’s debut album, Its Dark and Hell is Hot,

which entered the Billboard charts at number 1, in the hit single "For

My Dogs". Big Stan’s next appearance came on X’s fourth album

titled The Great Depression, which also entered the charts at number 1,

on "The Kennel" and "Shit Still Real". On X’s fifth album,

Grand Champ, also number 1

on the charts, he appeared On the hits "We Bout to Blow" and "On

Top".

Big Stan also found himself alongside a number of

other major players in the game, such as NAS and Ja Rule on the Exit

Wounds soundtrack. He landed a spot on the Corruptor soundtrack with

Jive artist, Mic Vandalz, On "Feel the Rush", along with Jay Z and

the "Money Cash Hoes" remix. He also appeared twice on the Cradle to

the Grave soundtrack with his solo "Hand that Rocks the Cradle" and

with the Bloodline kennel on "Getting Down", amongst names such as

Fat Joe and 50 Cent.

When asked about Big Stan DMX has nothing but great things to say about

the artist who he calls, "The Truth" and also considers to be one of his

closest friends.

So the hit single "Walk With Me", which appeared on the Exit Wounds

soundtrack was more than just another collaboration with DMX. The lyrics

"Look at my lifeLook at how I liveLook at what I go through, so

what I’ve got to give, This is it"! Exemplifies X’s view of Big

Stan’s honest, upfront style, from the meaning behind his music to the

way he lives his life.

The song also contains the lyrics "I’m a grown man now standing on

my own two". After years of working alongside DMX, Big

Stan is ready to begin a new era as a solo artist.

From working on his solo project to his own radio show, and writing

screenplays.

Big Stan is about to take his rightful place as the

new "Big Man" in the game. Big Stan Radio, Big Stan

Films, and the Big Stan LP - The Big Stan Trifector

Pick Your Poison.

"So guess who’s at the door now, don’t make me blow the door down,

you pretty cats already ate, it’s time to feed the dogs now!"
