Most of my songs are about real events that took place in my life. When asked what his songs are about Big Neil says, " I'm a solo artist who has been on the grind since the beginning. A real street nigga." No doubt when you hear the track Dope Boy Music you'll understand what this 27 year old brings to the table, a clear and conscience vision of the streets today.

Coming into his own, Big Neil began his career as part of the rap group The Weight Boyz, which also included, at the time, a young E-Nok and Hayczar who would later form Czar*Nok (Locdown/Capitol Records). The three then hooked up with the CEO of Locdown Records, Los Vegas, and began their careers. Big Neil would be a strong backing force for Czar*Nok as he was heavily featured on their debut album and all live performances. His dedication to the lyrics of every song he writes proved that he is in his own right, the "Kingpin" of the underground.

Cincinnati's answer to the long standing question of who can conquer the rap game? That's your boy Big Neil. Recently releasing mixtapes such as Welcome To Crank City hosted by the notorious Bigga Rankin of The Hittmen DJs and Dope Boy Music The Mixtape Volume 1 featuring none other than Dj Siza of the nationwide Superfriends, Big Neil is giving a lesson in being a hustla. With his mixture of mid-west style and down south flavor Big Neil has a sound thats unmistakable. "I feel like I gotta a new voice to bring to the streets," says Big Neil. Everybody who understands what I'm tryin' to do, lives in the streets, the hoods, the suburbs, every man, every woman and every race.

Through songs like Fresh and What's It Gone Take, Big Neil gives you an honest account of the daily grind in city streets. With driving beats and furious raps it's impossible not to feel the story being told. At the same time he takes you into the frenetic pace of a true D-Boy ambassador with cuts like Big Time and Loc It Down.

With a forthcoming album in the works and the soon released street DVD Welcome To Crank City, Vol. 1, Big Neil is buckling down to make 2006 his best year yet. When asked what his future goals include, Big Neil had this to say about it, "Winning, makin something you put hard work into go where you wanted it to go. Everything is lookin up, everything is workin out in the right way and everyone is happy."

If confidence can predict a successful outcome you can put your money on a D-Boy like Big Neil.
