Big Dubez emerged onto the Hip-Hop scene in 1998 as one-third of the group Sporty Thievz. Signed to Roc-a-Blok / Columbia Records, their debut album Street Cinema voted one of the most slept on albums of 98 by The Source magazine, gained them great media acclaim, but failed to bring them multi-platinum success. Although well known for their first single Cheapskates (You Aint Getting Nada), Sporty Thievz received official notoriety when they released one of the biggest songs to close out the 1990s No Pigeons. With a gold single under their belt, the groups plans to dominate the rap game were cut short when member Marland Brando, was tragically hit by a car heroically saving the life of a young boy. Thats when Big Dubez and partner in rhyme King Kirk went on a hiatus.

Fast forward to 2006, Big Dubez has been doing a lot of producing, keeping his pen sharp, and exploring the business side of the game. As Vice-President and Co-CEO of Thourough Entertainment, Big Dubez is back on his grind. With his first artist, R&Bs new hurricane Tre Williams signing to Nas Ill Will Records, Dubez is quickly establishing that he and Thourough Entertainment are a force to be reckoned with. With a stable of high powered emcees, a fast growing list of production credits, as well as a solo album on deck, Dubez is slowly but surely carving his nitche. There comes a time when things must change, so after Tre Williams, Big Dubez, and the rest of Thourough Entertainment turn the game upside down, you know whos responsible
