Beth Bombara is one of those rare musicians who can shift genres as effortlessly as she changes instruments. She is well known as the latter half of the folk duo Cassie Morgan and the Lonely Pine and as the singer/guitarist of the indie-rock group Beth Bombara and the Robotic Foundation. She has also toured nationally as a member of Samantha Crain and the Midnight Shivers and spent 2006 in Martha’s Vineyard focusing on her music during an artist’s residency program. Beth’s most recent project is a solo album that she recorded at her home studio with fellow Robotic Foundation members Kit and J.J. Hamon. The songs on this album are a blend of folk, alt-country, and indie-rock that sounds equally fitting alongside Hank Williams, Sr. and Neil Young as it does Neko Case and the Breeders.
In 2006 Beth accepted an invitation to an exclusive artist residency program on the island of Martha's Vineyard. There, she began honing her writing and performance skills. “It was a surreal experience. For once in my life, I could sit down with minimal distractions and focus on all things music. But even more important than that, it helped me clear my head and become more at peace with who I am as a person, and embrace that. Those experiences are truly invaluable.”
Beth currently lives in St. Louis, MO.
