Below the Sound

Aggressive, angular and abrasive are a few words that can partly describe the unique sound of the southwestern noise-rock trio Below the Sound. Originally formed in 1999 in the high desert of Albuquerque New Mexico, the band consisted of Dennis Ponozzo (bass & vocals) and brothers Chris Roy (guitar) and Brian Roy (drums).



Minimalistic while remaining powerful, Below the Sound created tight and heavy off-kilter rhythms complimented by unrestrained dissonant guitars and raw fiery vocals to produce an intense and volatile sound.
