Wonderbird are a duo not bound by rules, genre or style.



In the summer of 2006, a spark ignited at Modemaster studio, as Missy Pointyshoes (after some gentle coaxing) stepped up to the mike for the first time ever. ‘Big Baboon’ was born, and Fré and Missy started making their typical brand of funny, sometimes rather startling music.

Call it what you want: electro-pop, house-inspired tunes, funked-up cockney rhyming beats, tripped-up musical poetry, perhaps plain dance, … . In any case, boring it ain’t.



Wonderbird are Frederik Kühn and Missy Pointyshoes.

Fré creates the music, melting digital and analogue sounds into an arousing, exciting cocktail. His long-standing experience as a percussionist makes for mindblowingly infectious beats.

Missy Pointyshoes is in charge of lyrics, adding her unmistakeably London twang. She writes about the daily grind in her particular tongue-in-cheek and off-beat manner.
