Formed in Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast in late 2005 Bark at the Moon are an explosive five-piece act combining their member’s roots in a variety of styles and scenes. With too much to say to be confined to any one particular genre; Bark at the Moon posses an ability to float amongst many and appeal to a broad range of tastes and styles.

The line-up of Bark at the Moon is as diverse as the sounds they eminate. They are able to claim ex-members of Adelaide-core group "Atlantis Way", The Brazilian godfather of percussion and can now welcome the recent addition of another South American import; Felipe Sidoti on the Bass. With the Tassie-turned-Burleigh-devil; Chris Plummer on vocals the result is a mixing pot of genuine talent producing an addictive blend of reggae, rock, funk and punk. Bark at the Moon are an exciting band to watch with a desire to see their shows and music not only entertain a crowd but relate a range of feeling and emotion inspired by tales of trials and taxes, of living like a dog and barking back at the masses.

In 2007 Bark at the Moon won the Queensland final of the National Campus Band competition and were flown to Melbourne to play in the national final. They were recognized for their crowd pleasing live show and rewarded with a spot at the 2008 Big Day Out where they delivered a blistering set on the Live n Local Stage driving the impressive crowd into a frenzy. In November 2007 the band were invited to be a part of Queensland Conservatoriums 50th Anniversary celebrations with a performance at South Bank. They released a seven song sampler in August and are in the process of recording a follow-up EP due to be unleashed in the coming summer. With an exciting fan base building after every show they play, Bark at the Moon are now looking to gain exposure at new venues and festivals as well as continue to take their live show on the road.
