In line with friends and fellow musicians such as Sonia Leigh, Sean Kagalis, and Julia Carroll, Barb Carbon rose up through the the discriminating Atlanta music scene to prove that she has the songwriting ability and vocal prowess to capture a crowd and keep them coming back again and again. Self-identifying primarily as a songwriter, Carbon has worked hard to hone her performance skills and it has paid off. She has graced the stages of some of the Southeast's premier music venues – Eddie's Attic, Decatur, GA; Smith's Olde Bar, Atlanta, GA; The Double Door Inn, Charlotte, NC – and is a familiar face on the Southeast festival circuit – Music in the Mountains, Hemlock Festival, Femmmefest, Ladyfest South.
