A banda está no momento preparando o lançamento de seu novo disco , previsto pro Brasil em 2010 e Europa e EUA em 2011. Com um perfil eletronico aliado a instrumentos eletro-acusticos , a Eta Carinae aposta num perfeito casamento entre as programações eletronicas e os elementos organicos, incluindo harmonias regionais(como o baiao), levadas de samba e os elementos percussivos, com o objetivo de soar universal mas com aquele toque de regionalidade, o que atualiza e valoriza para toda uma nova geracao os nossos ritmos tradicionais, nordestinos e brasileiros.
Por soar universal, o grupo procurou um nome que significasse o mesmo tanto aqui no Brasil como em qualquer outro lugar do mundo: "Eta Carinae", o nome da estrela de maior brilho em nossa galaxia.

This is the name of a new musical project that comes
growing in the Pernambuco / Recife / Brazil scene.
With an electronic profile added the organic parts, the project has as participant musicians already known local with ample experience in the city , other states and countries. They are : Dirceu melo (guitar and voice), Catarina Rosa (voice) Sanzyo Dub(drums) and Rapha Groove(bass).
in the nineties , Dirceu Melo was the former, singer and guitar player of the band Jorge Cabeleira e o dia em que seremos todos inúteis, has a big hit in all Brazilian radios: one version for CAROLINA (Luís Gonzaga) that brings to band a lot of success and shows in all states of the country and did help to get stronger the MOVIMENTO MANGUEBEAT. With the end of group, he went to change his artistic approach. The first album of Eta Carinae – Mirando a estrela – is the result of this change.
The Eta Carinae bets in a perfect marriage between the electronic beats and the organic element, including there regional rhythms like the baião , forró, taken of samba ,rock and reggae. Following the fundaments of the Manguebeat, the objective is to make universal music with a touch of roots, what it brings up to date and it values for all a new generation our traditional rhythms, northeasterns and Brazilians.
For sounding universal, the group looked a name that it the same meant in Brazil as in any another place of the world: Eta Carinae, that is the name of the star of bigger brightness in our galaxy.

Basé sur un concept mélangeant rythmiques traditionnelles/organiques et électroniques, le groupe 'Eta Carinae' est composé de nombreux musiciens bien connus tels que Dirceu melo(guitar and voice), Sanzyo Dub(drums) and Rapha Groove(bass) ayant déjà une
forte expérience locale, nationale & internationale.
Dans les années 90, Dirceu Melo fut le leader du groupe 'Jorge Cabeleira e o dia em que seremos todos inúteis'. Leurs titres et notamment l'excellente version de 'Carolina' de Luis Gonzaga longtemps programmés sur les principales radios brésiliennes ont mené le groupe à participer à l'évolution du mouvement 'Mangue Beat' ainsi que sur de nombre
tournées brésiliennes.
L’ album 'Mirando A Estrela' est la nouvelle approche artistique de Dirceu Melo et du groupe Eta Carinae - une surprenante production ‘Mangue Beat' en provenance de Recife !
Eta Carinae propose un parfait mariage entre rythmes électroniques, traditionnels et régionaux tels que le Baião, Forró, Samba, Rock et le Reggae. Dans le respect de la tradition et fondamentaux du Mange Beat, ‘Mirando A Estrela’ propose une vision moderne des rythmes traditionnels brésiliens avec la volonté de lui donner une envergure universelle.

Brazilian Roots, Global Sounds & Electronic Beats
Die Fusion aus Brasilianische Rootsrhytmen wie: Samba, Baião, Forró, Rock und Reggae und Elektronische Beats ist das Erfolgsrezept von Eta Carinae.
Ziel dieser Fusion ist, die reichen regionalen Rhytmen mit den globalen Sounds zu verbinden und damit die musikalischen Traditionen wiederzubeleben und das lokale Selbstbewusstsein für die neue Generationen zu stärken. Die fünf erfahrenen Musikern aus der Pernambuco/Recife-Gegend im Nordosten Brasiliens, können auf eine erfolgreiche Karriere in der brasilianische Musikszene verweisen. Dirceu Melo (Bandgründer von Eta Carinae) war Sänger und Gitarrist einer der wichtigsten Bands der "Mangue Beat" Bewegung: "Jorge Cabeleira e o dia em que seremos todos inúteis" (Jorge Cabeleira und den Tag an dem wir alle überflüssig sein werden") und schaffte den nationalen und internationalen Durchbruch mit den Hit "Carolina". Als sich diese Band auflöste, hat Dirceu Melo eine neue Herausforderung gesucht.
