Singer, songwriter, producer and musician are the four words that describe the talented artist “Bam”. Born Kennieth Alexander Jr. in Inglewood, California on February 17, 1981, at the young age of 2 Kennieth would run throughout the house humming and beating on any object he could find. This is how Kennieth adopted the name “Bam”. As the toddler years progressed, his family began to notice he was a natural musician. When Bam was five year old, he established his first job as a drummer playing for a Pentecostal church in Los Angeles. While at Culver City Jr. High, he was the featured drummer for the advanced High school band. He also performed with the High School band on the Channel 5 Morning News. It was evident that Kennieth would lead a successful life in the music industry.



In High School Bam played for the gospel choir and the jazz band performing at school events and touring throughout the city. In the summer of 1998, he was invited to perform on a month European Tour with the Crenshaw High School Elite Choir. After graduating high school, Bam attended California State University, Los Angeles under the Jazz Studies Program where he performed with numerous bands and combos. During the summer of 2002, Bam received a phone call from the well known Music Producer Ricky Minor’s Agency to play for a US promotional tour for R&B artist Novel.



In 1999, along with childhood friends, Bam officially formed a group by the name of “1500 or Nothin”. The group of talented artist consisted of a seven member band and three background singers. They toured with many artists and were the band for “Disturbing the Peaces” and a new R&B Artist, Bobby Valentino. 1500 or Nothin and also made a television appearance on The Craig Ferguson Show in 2007.



In August of 2006, both “1500 or Nothin” and Bam were privileged to be the first band in history to play live drums on the well known Producer “Just Blaze” track. It was the first single off of Jay Z's come back album "Kingdom Come" entitled "Show Me What You Got." This was released in December of 2006.



In November of 2006, Bam became a member of the new R&B band “Saintz Row, The band”. This independently signed group is a five man band; Bam, Cold Hands, The Professor, Kidd Flyy and lead singer, Mr. Smith. Their album will be released first quarter of 2010.



In 2007 Bam did an instructional video produced by the “Hear And Play Music Group”, which can be previewed and purchased at hearandplaydrums.com.

On Halloween of 2007, Bam played for Atlantic Record Hip Hop artist Lupe Fiasco at the House of Blues in Chicago, IL. Since that engagement Bam toured the U.S and Europe with Lupe’s Promotional tour. This tour was for the December 2007 release of; “Lupe Fiasco’s: The Cool.” Also, in January thru February of 2008 he made television appearances with Lupe.



Bam achieved a host of other accomplishments in 2008; the Glow in the Dark Tour with N.E.R.D, Rihanna, and Kanye West. In addition he made television appearances on The David Letterman Show, The Jay Leno Show, The Jimmy Kimmel Show, The Ellen Show, and MTV’s Spring Break. He also appeared on MVT’s Bands commercials.



Continuing to tour with Lupe Fiasco in 2008, Bam completed a Coke a Cola tour and a College Tour. He played at the SXSW Concert in Austin, TX for hip hop artist David Banner as well as recorded with R&B Artist Musiq Soulchild. Bam continues to tour and work with Lupe Fiasco and has worked on Lupe’s new CD.



Currently Bam is working with Dave Young a Mary J Blige artist. In addition, Bam has completed a showcase CD to assist with marketing his talents.



Bam’s musical goal is to play, write, and produce for any artist in any category of the music world. His career thus far is just a milestone in what’s to come.
