DESCRIPTION:
The John Denver letter was written to Owen (Boomer) Castleman, The inventor of the palm petal guitar, who sang with John for many of his early years in the Clubs owned by the originator of the New Christy Minstrels.
Mr. Castleman spoke highly of John's incredible ability to treat everyone with respect. He told of the story of Randy Sparks, who helped John rename himself after the city Denver, which he loved because of the Colorado Mountains and the rain and snow there.
John was a great friend collegue, and he died too early for all his fans. He was proud of the country music heritage he got from Nashville as remembered by Mr. Mooney a producer of country music.
The John Denver tribute song:"John Denver Letter" is a country song using the exact words of John from a letter, and put to music using the Hardanger fiddle played by Richard Quisling.
