Frontman Ashley Winters and producer-guitarist BOI crossed paths in 2006 while leaving together as roommates in an eclectic house in the Silverlake hills of Los Angeles.

Caught in an environment filled with unstable women, heavy drugs, alcohol and “amoebic” neighbors the duo bonded right away. They started collaborating on songs that reflected the twisted lifestyle that surrounded them, and that’s how the good apples went bad.

Musically the Bad Apples love to mix Retro-Pop with Industrial and Hip Hop, and aim to appeal to Monday-night partiers that are not afraid to get laid in a club bathroom. However the true mission of the band is found in their tune’s lyrical content.

In their songs the Bad Apples take a stand against all that is considered “politically correct.” So don’t get shocked if you find in their repertoire the public use of words and/or concepts that are considered taboo, even if they are of daily use in the private thoughts of almost all people.

Although they may seem fruity on the outside, at their core the Bad Apples embrace the same uncontaminated spirit of the great ones: The Beatles, Marylin Manson, Eminem, and repackage it with a futuristic sound that stimulates the mind and the pelvis.
