Prime Legend was born on April 23 to Haitian parents in the Brooklyn borough of New York City. Prime and family pulled anchor and relocated to Miramar, FL (Broward County) in the waning years of Reaganomics. A NY state of mind and heavy influence from the late great Notorious B.I.G. inspired Prime to begin penning phrases at the tender age of 15. A parental dispute and an abandoned interest in music lead to experimentation with the “STREET ARTS”-four years of debauchery and back alley dealings lead to an arrest for Larceny. Being fortunate enough to only receive probation for his misgivings; Prime Legend decided it was time to mature and apply humorless conviction to his music endeavors.



The brother of a long time acquaintance took a vested interest in Prime Legend’s career and decided to recollect the aspiring artist to Atlanta. After a year of recording and uninspired meetings with then Noontime producer Jazze Pha and So So Def Records chief Jermaine Dupri; Prime decided to leave the “A” and venture back to the city of tan lines and gold teeth. Prime worked tirelessly throughout 02-03 to record a collection of seven well crafted tracks which would serve as his EP-Legend In The Making which also played a role in his relocation to the Big Apple temporarily! While in New York, Prime performed for industry executives during showcases hosted at the world famous B.B.Kings, Broadway Arcadia, and Larry Holmes’s Club and Restaurant, the Ringside in Philly, PA.



When dialogue with Atlantic Records and Jive Records fizzled out in 04, Prime moved back to Miramar and began to critique and perfect his craft. Prime Legend worked tirelessly to develop a reputation as a solid live performer and having an ability to captivate audiences with precise timing peppered with catchy word play. Prime’s solid local buzz from his 05-06 offering “North and South” lead to shows at the Roman Pub hosted by comedian Larry Dogg, Club Metropolis, Legends Sports Bar and Grill hosted by 99 Jamz Big Will and Lil Bear, and Club Sandals.



In the spring of 2008, a gruesomely determined Prime Legend and child hood friend decided to lay the foundation for Legendary Music Group. With his future now in his own hands; Prime delivered “Southern Xposure version 1.0”, a masterful display of verbal ambidexterity hosted by “305hiphop.com’s” Reddi Ray and “Bac On Da Corna The Street Album”. Prime Legend’s talent has garnished him interviews on STr8hiphop.com, 24hourhiphop.com and track placements on the Direct Tv series “Real Life Adventures” produced by StoryBoard Studios.



In 2009, with a determination to beast the competition and create a niche that would differentiate him from other mc’s; Prime perfected a pitch technique that combines East coast lyricism and the Southern d-boy charisma. A hybrid mc, unable to be pigeon holed or judged by the categorical rules of the music industry. In other words, Prime is the future of Hip Hop. Prime Legend is currently in the lab brewing up a brilliant offering of lyrical ambiguity entitled “LEGENDARY”.



Prime states, I am highly determined and highly anticipated in my city and I am going to give them what they want. A name for themselves! THINK GREEN…
