Ayin is a genre-destroying quintet from Louisville KY that has been warping minds since it first formed in 2000. The group has gone through several member changes and radical musical shifts to become what it is now -- a visceral mix of punk, indie, new wave, and experimental sounds. After a self-released EP in 2003, the band released its debut full-length, Nothing Islands (Brightskull Records), to critical acclaim in 2004. Hailed as “an act we should all keep our eyes on” (Impact), Nothing Islands was praised for its “catchy and vital songs [that aren’t] dull enough to keep within the lines of traditional song structures.” (Louisville Cardinal).

Soon after its debut release, Ayin gained a reputation for an act that transcends style boundaries and shatters expectations, opening for notable national acts like Mindless Self Indulgence, Pretty Girls Make Graves, An Albatross, and The Blood Brothers. Now, after two years of writing and touring, Ayin is excited to release its second full-length album, Fear of Tigers (Shrodinger Records). Featuring a more focused, aggressive sound, complex songwriting, passionate performances, and fierce, politically conscious lyrics, Fear of Tigers pushes the envelope of heavy rock music as many Louisville bands do, but with a sound that’s unmistakably Ayin's.

After seven years, three full-length albums, and several tours across the U.S., Ayin finally disbanded in 2007.

Hmmm, I just found an extra $8.50 in my wallet, and I'm just dying to throw it away on something. I know! I'll buy Ayin's debut album, NOTHING ISLANDS!
