Avatar

Avatar is the solo project of singer, guitarist and pianist Ben Andrews (me). Formed from the ashes of.well Avatar, I write melodic rock tunes with pop sensibilities on piano and guitar. I want my songs to move people physically, and emotionally. If you aren't elated, crying or dancing, I haven't done my job. Drawing on inspiration from 60's folk gems like Nick Drake, to 70's heavy rock/psychedelic bands Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, 80's thrash metal (Metallica) and new millennium English bands such as Coldplay and Muse, I endeavour to create a new, emotive sound that stays with and returns to you long after you've heard it.
