Hey You

What do you get when you combine whimsical vocals, jazz influenced guitar leads, melodic bass lines and a drummer with more energy than anyone can handle? It's called Augie and the Sandwich Factory, a progressive rock band that has elements of jazz, punk, surf rock, and classic country. Augie and The Sandwich Factory started blending sounds about 2 years ago and have proceeded to churn it into a blend of rock and roll that hasn't been seen since the days of 70's prog bands like King Crimson.

Augie and The Sandwich Factory are currently working on their debut album, which has yet to be named. Filled with originals such as "I Want No Time", "Japanese Road Signs", and "Dandycakes", there is something on this album that everyone can get into.

From the Beginning

Augie and The Sandwich Factory were formed in 2004 in Green Bay, WI by Augie: lead vocals and guitar, Erik: bass and backup vocals, Cory: drums and backup vocals and Tony: guitar. They practiced in Tony's father's vacant office until they had finally honed their sound.

IQ's spread the gospel of Augie and The Sandwich Factory when they were asked to play every Tuesday. The IQ's flavor of Charlie Hustle, Bar Tab Band, Road House Scholars and wednesday's open mics was a perfect blend for the band to show off their ecclectic improvisational style.

Eight Days a Week

Since then, they have expanded their stage to many establishments including The Rave, Riverside Ballroom, Maloney's Pub, Oxford's, The Main Stage, and The Phoenix Room at UWGB as well as many other private gatherings.

The hard-working men of Augie and The Sandwich Factory have made it their personal mission to expose audiences to what they describe as progressive jam/jazz fusion with a hint of twang. "Japanese Road Signs" is a perfect primer for the uninitiated, while continuing to interest longtime fans.

The End

Their goal: to extend their fanbase to the rest of Wisconsin, nearby states, and eventually the world!
