After a long process developing and refining a basic aesthetic as a band making our first album, it became clear that the sound we were working towards could be applied to many artists. While caught in a legal web, unable to release ASSASSINS music, we started reaching out to friends and artists we knew. the idea was to find other songs to reinterpret, not so much remix as we would only use vocals from the original, rebuilding a new approach in our image. the first trials were rough. The one major difference between our sound as a band and our new purpose as "remixers" was the transition into making dance music. Though we've always been heavily influenced by dance music, Assassins, as a band, is always crossing rock and dance beats, without really trying to "hold the floor." We started with Tommie Sunshine, then Michelle Williams(destiny's child), Singular Fashion, Kill Hannah, Greenskeeper, Matt & Kim, Dragons (UK), and Satellite Party(Perry Farrell, Peter Hook), with many more to come. This page features a small, ever-changing collection of these efforts.
