Ape are a highly talented energetic 5 piece band hailing from the South West of England. The past few years have seen them grow into a formidable song writing machine, playing up and down the country at music venues and festivals alike, scratching up over 250 shows, now signed to independent record label Black7 they are currently recording with world class producer John Cornfield, who's credits include the likes of Oasis, Muse, Razorlight, Athlete, Supergrass, The Verve, to name but a few. So it promises to be a bright future for this finely tuned well polished live act.



Ape are a hard working band with extensive experience on how to put on a great ‘LIVE’ show leaving people wanting more. In the past 12 months they have been developing their sound, which expresses who they are, where they have been and the direction in which they are heading. This can be found in their most recent recordings with John Cornfield. Ape are now ready to move onto the next level in their music career. Their ambition is relentless, having an amazingly eclectic, powerful, uncompromising body of work to make what will be an unforgettable debut album !



In July 2010 Ape decided to take on another guitarist in the shape of Dave Kellaway. Dave's great guitar playing and vocal contributions are proving to be an awesome addition to the Ape machine.



Ape have just recorded their debut single at the legendary Sawmills studios in Golant. and have played the Relentless Boardmasters festival 2010 on the Vans Off The Wall stage. This is all after winning the Carve band search where hundreds of bands were battling it out for this unique opportunity, Ape stormed the competition to win their slot. They are now planning on playing gigs across the UK and Europe over the next 12 months.– Watch this space and Get Involved !
