Antonello Parisi, composer and pianist. He has studied classical piano and composition with conductor Ottavio De Lillo. Later on, he studied piano jazz and improvisation with Garry Dial, and Mike Holober (whom he still studies with at CCNY).
At Berklee School "Umbria Jazz Clinics" in 1997 and in 2000, he perfected his work with pianists Ray Santisi and Russ Hoffman achieving the "Best Talents" recognition. Currently, he is attending his BFA at City College of New York where besides studying with teachers as John Patitucci, Dan Carillo, Scott Reeves, Ray Gallon and Mike Holober(who is his piano teacher), he was also awarded with several scholarships. He played in a big number of jazz clubs and live locations with various formations, performing also in prestigious programmes among which: "Alfa Soul 2002", International Festival "Pulsano Jazz 2002", Trebius' Stars Jazz Winter 2002, "Jazz Blues & Soul" Festival 2001-2002-2003, Guitars International Festival Mottola 2002-2004 ", September Jazz" 2004 City of Taranto, International. Festival "Sounds from Salento 2005-2006"; Taranto Promenade 1997(over thirty concerts), Summer in Taranto 2000, Taranto and.2001, Castro summer 2001, Porto Cesareo summer 2001, Ceramics International Exhibition 2004 City of Grottaglie, Festival Internazionale "Sounds from Salento 2005", 62 and 63nd Concerts' Season "Arcangelo Speranza 2006-2007", "Esplanade Du Lac 2006" (Divonne Les Bains , France). CCNY jazz festival 2010 and several clubs in NY area as Rock Wood Music-Hall, Puppets jazz club, Shrine World Music Venue, Greenwich Village Bistro, Bar 169 and many others.
Inventor of the South Vertigo Band, prestigious formation in the fusion panorama, he played with musicians such as Bob Franceschini, Tom Kirkpatrick, Scott Reaves, Javier Girotto,Giampaolo Ascolese, Fabrizio Bosso, Roberto Ottaviano, Tino Tracanna, Jeremy Tordjman and many others. In 2005, he recorded the album entitled "Zero Center" with the New York saxophonist Bob Franceschini and the South Vertigo Band, distributed by Ricordi-Feltrinelli, for the VideoRadio (RAI symphony Orchestra label).In 2006 he joined the prestigious compilation produced by Rai Trade-VideoRadio entitled "Fusion Jazz Rock & Groove" distributed by"Self Distribution".
