In a nutshell, a biggish nutshell, I'm an Englishman born in South Africa who's moved back to the Blighty before I could walk was then sent to all sorts of educational establishments where eventually I was discovered by acid house and then at last was free to get on with my stuff. Went to University in Bristol and started Djing and putting on club nights for us students, got kicked out but carried on putting on the parties for a year or so and then moved back to London, via all sorts of mad free parties in the South West and up near Oxford, where I did a very unhealthy but very fun couple of years running a night called 'Rude' at SW1 that ended up on it's head in Ibiza in 1995. Meanwhile was playing tunes alot and did some music with some mates and started a record label called 'Skinny Malinky' and had an oh so nearly top 40 hit (it was number 42) with a track called Floribunda which i did with Andy Cato under the name of Mother Pride. Anyway, all went a bit tits up and I bravely ran away to live in Cape Town to start on new territories with my buddy Will Brunner. Set up a label called 'Protea records' and had some pretty nice success with that. More gigs. and erm. don't remember that much of that whole period. So then came across this psychedelic trance stuff and kind of binned doing the proggy housey techy thing with protea and started working with my mate Regan on music as Pulse and then thought lets do a label releasing that. Nano records was born. However the Millenium happened and not one jot was done for a while. An old mate, Nick Ladd, came back on the scene and we started to put on some proper parties in SA together. Finally got some music together and released our first comp in 2002 and the rest is history. I came back to England in 2003 and thought we should do a proper fat psychedelic party in the UK and with Nick and some other lovely folk who do alot of stuff at Glastonbury we managed to get the Glade Festival together, which is really rather special. So now I'm busy with that, Nano and also a festival ticket agency that's doing really well. Not as productive as I'd like on the music production front but that should change. I live in Gloucestershire right out in the beautiful English countryside .
