Anothercountry

Anothercountry(Naoya Yoshida) is a sound artist and composer in Japan.He is taking charge of writing songs and the composition of all the tunes of this band. ( Lyrics are putting on my blog.)He began making music in 1999 playing guitar and sampler in various bands in Tokyo.He came to electronic music and improvisation via rock band Anothercountry. Moreover, he is hoping for the collaboration with domestic and foreign various musicians.And he pursues a really beautiful thing through music.

1999年頃に東京で全作品の作詞・作曲を手がける吉田直哉がAnothercountryを結成。マンチェスター・グラスゴー・ブリストル等のサウンドに加え、ケン・ローチ、フランソワ・トリュフォー、ヴィム・ヴェンダース、マイケル・ウィンターボトム等の映画作品に多大な影響を受け、ロック、ダブ、 ニューウェーブ、エレクトロニカ、ハウス、アブストラクト・ヒップホップ、ブレイクビーツ、現代音楽等の要素が入り乱れた、狂気とファンタジーが混在した独特の世界観の音を創り出して、東京都内のクラブやライブハウスを中心に活動中。
今後は機会があれば自分のバンドメンバー以外の素晴らしいアーティストの方々と何か素敵なことをやれたらいいなとも考えています。もちろんジャンルや国籍や年齢とかは一切関係ナシで。そして、音楽を通して本当に美しいものを探求して行きたいと想っています。
