Annmarie Solo

Annmarie Solo is a songstress who blends heart and soul with
ethereal inflections and evocative lyrics. What makes her different from
most artists is her ability to convey an engaging sense of intimacy
and compassion through an authentic and grounded voice.
Music Connection Magazine says, "Honest, delicate and heartfelt."
Annmarie's debut album Rising is a collaboration with producer Alfonso Rodenas, who received a 2009 Grammy for Best Album, Raices by Los Tigres Del Norte.
She wrote Rising as a collection of songs filled with hopeful, inspiring messages about humanity and love during these times of great change.
Annmarie recently recorded the title track 'Summer Moon' for the 2009 feature film Dark Moon Rising. Her song 'I Lose Gravity'
is featured in the Independent film Take, starring Minnie Driver.
Annmarie feels most at home when she is nestled in the historically bohemian mountains of Topanga Canyon in Los Angeles, where she currently resides. She is originally from Detroit Michigan, where she started studying music at the age of 10. Her first instrument was the flute and she later picked up the guitar, falling in love with the feeling of the strings vibrating against her voice. She grew up listening to everything from Aretha Franklin & Tracy Chapman to Led Zeppelin.

Being profoundly affected by yoga and the magic of India's abundant musical traditions, in 2008 Annmarie recorded a 3-song demo called Devotion,
co-produced in Los Angeles with Jeffrey Andrews. Even as a demo, the songs on Devotion received unprecedented positive reactions from the press.
Michael Mollura of LA Yoga Magazine writes, "Annmarie Solo's voice touches the notes with her lips and we are transported into a space that is abundant and ethereal. Annmarie is an L.A. artist who sings like her heart would dissipate if she didn't."
