In 2005, Adam and Luke began writing music together after years of pursuing academic/professional careers. When luke got shipped down south for doctoral work, they decided to work long distance. We had several people front the band during this period. NFACT, Ashley Scurto, and Bryan Wieder. Our last singer was christina bernard. When Christina left the band in february of 2008, Adam and Luke decided to put animal spirits on life support. Christina is an irreplaceable talent, for whom we care deeply. It includes rough tracks from everyone who participated in the band. If you download it and you like it, all we ask is that you pass it on. maybe it will mean something. maybe it will be the footnote in an ethnomusicologist's dissertation. 6 tracks are also downloadable from the myspace. Don't buy anything off the sno cap. That's just for show. makes us look like legitimate business men.

In may 2008, luke will move back to dc, ending the long distance collaboration. Adam and luke have decided to soldier on as a two piece. Currently, we are calling ourselves "Sunday Night Sucks". Check out our instrumentals. "A Life" features Travis Morrison of D-plan. Our plan is to teach ourselves how to sing and write lyrics. He also wrote guitar parts for "plastic jesus" and "twang" Ashley Scurto sang back up on "hands and knees" and "Wait until I feel a little older" she sang lead on "How happiness is made" NFACT provided vocals for "dimes" "prelude" and back up on "Wait." He also produced "Dimes" and "Prelude" Christina Bernard sang on/wrote lyrics for "The Jackyl", "Sonny was a Hothead", "Twang", "Egos in Love", "Hall and Oates", and "Wait until I feel a little older"
