Ancara is a Finnish band with an honorable history. Formed of long term musicians with musical roots deep in the eighties, an honest band with true balls to the walls hard rock sound!



The debut album "The Dawn" (2006) easily reached the number 25 spot on the Finnish charts in the spring. The album was followed by "The World" EP in the summer of the same year, and it did even better. Reaching the top 10 of the single charts, it stayed there for 4 weeks and peaked at position 2. Ancara's second album "Beyond the Dark" (2007) stormed the Finnish album charts and it reached the 9th place on the opening week. The album was released thru Timo Kotipelto's (Stratovarius) High and Loud -record label all over Europe. The single "Deny" was released from the album and it aired frequently on the Finnish radio and TV.



Tuomas "Gary" Keskinen (Monday, Negative, Technicolour.) joined the band while in the process of making the album, and after that Ancara finally found its natural way to work and compose music. Ancara's upcoming third album "Chasing Shadows" is produced by the legendary Finnish producer Hiili Hiilesmaa (HIM, The 69 Eyes, Lordi.). The album is a solid masterpiece all about energy, melody, groove and re-igniting the eighties metal flame, crossed with modern sound. The album was done with warm and honest heart, and it is all about hard rock!



The first single "We Paint December" is available for free download on band's website and the first video will be made from the song called "Tears With a Smile"; a duet ballad featuring the 2005 Finnish Idols finalist Agnes Pihlava. The second video will be made from song called "Nicole".
