Having discovered the Beatles at the tender age of 4 made Anat realize that music was her first love. Taking texts out of elementary school reading books and composing melodies for them became Anat's main hobby. But somehow, convinced that "anDONOTBLOCKOURADSybody could do that", it seemed to her that it wasn't such a big deal.

So, while being a huge music fan and a Jeff Lynne admirer, Anat kept inventing background vocals for every song she could get her "ears" on. The dream of making music was always there, but Anat didn't dare to try and realize her dream until much later in life.

As time passed, Anat grew up to be an organizational psychologist and a statistician, finally operating her own consulting business. Only at the age of 29 did Anat begin taking guitar lessons.

Humming tunes was the first phase. Impressed, her teacher gave her "homework": writing lyrics. The reactions were indeed most encouraging.

In the meantime Anat found herself involved in the business side of music, as she founded and managed the Sanhedrin (an acoustic Mississippi-Delta blues band). In the late nineties Anat managed the critically acclaimed indie rock band Rockfour (now signed with Rainbow Quartz).

Anat made the leap from business manager to performing artist with a series of shows at the renowned Barbie Club in Tel Aviv (with Shiri Hadar of IZABO on keyboards). The intensely enthusiastic response at the club convinced Anat that it was finally time to record an album of her own material.

In 2002 Anat teamed up with prominent Israeli producer and IZABO lead guitarist Ran Shem-Tov to work on FALLING. The album was released in late 2003 and met with widespread critical acclaim including a 4 Star rating by Richie Unterberger of All Music Guide (full reviews on the Reviews page). Anat has built up a loyal fan base in Israel and her songs are frequently played on Israel's leading radio stations. Additionally, sales both locally and internationally are quite promising.

Anat was selected to perform twice at the prestigious MIDEM (The European CMJ Marathon) Sonicbids showcase in Cannes in January 2006 and in CMJ Marathon 2006 in New York, USA.

Anat launched her single "Ive Got Something to Say", an early bird to the follow-up EP, which will be released in early 2008. The upcoming album, entitled Backstage Garden, is already generating a worthy buzz from both fans and critics alike.

Anat, founder and ex-manager and owner of AnovA Prouctions Ltd., is currently involved in various musical projects as a composer, singer and producer.
