Amy Smith

I'm singer, songwriter and piano player (and sometimes percussion player!) from Liverpool.
I graduated from the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts in Liverpool in 2003.
From September 2003 - present I have toured with The Australian Pink Floyd Show and Brit Floyd Show as a backing vocalist, singing The Great Gig in the Sky from the album Darkside of the Moon. I have toured with extensively with the band throughout the UK, Ireland, Europe, the USA and Canada and South America.
From 2004-2006 I was signed to Universal Publishing and a small indie label called New Frontier. During this time I wrote, recorded and sold my own music and performed support slots touring with Simply Red, K.D Lang, Jamie Cullum, Ray Lamontagne, Lulu, Tom Baxter, and Peter Cincotti. I also received radio play on Radio 2 and performed at Michael Parkinson's famous little pub.
In 2005 my band and I had the pleasure of performing in Austin Texas at the South by Southwest Festival alongside artists such as KT Tunstall, James Blunt, Embrace and Tom Baxter.
My music has also been featured on television, most recently on the ITV series City Lights where the song 'Your Kinda Trouble' co written with Jon Allen, was used as the theme tune.
Over the last 2 years I have arranged and recorded the backing vocals on Francis Rossi's forthcoming solo album and I am touring that with him in May of this year. I have also been part of Dennis Locorriere's band 'Tomorrow Road' on his 'Post Cool' tour with special guest Andy Fairweather -low.
I have also co written and recorded with artist Jon Allen. The song 'When the Morning Comes' received extensive air play on Radio 2.
I auditioned, vocally arranged and mentored the up and coming group 'Angels in White'. They are a 5 piece female harmony group who have recently appeared at Silverstone and have supported Jools Holland's Rhythm and Blues Orchestra on tour.
Most recently I have been involved in vocally arranging and performing as part of 'The Classic Rock Show' which is a new and exciting tribute show. It features music from Led Zeppelin, Steeley Dan, Supertramp, The Eagles, Dire Straites and many more.
