Since the year 1998, summer has never been the same for the streets of Jacksonville NC. Hip Hop artist , Amtrak has taken underground music to another level threw out those years, demonstrating “the grind” to his native town like they have never seen it before.



After his strong start with experimenting with producing and arranging beats, then turned his efforts of pushing his talents into the music industry to the next page by developing himself as an artist. His passion and drive to build a strong name in Hip Hop lead to him sharing the stage with national recording artist such as Ja Rule, 112 and, Petey Pablo, Doug E Fresh, Ruff Ryders, Whodini, Tony Yayo, and Young Buck. These are only a few on the long list of Hip Hop household names that Amtrak has had the opportunity to open for.



Not only dose this explosive artist have a home on the stage, but he has also stood as his own promoter, project distributor, and management threw out the life of his career. After starting his own independent record label Wrong Side ENT, used its name to venture into the world of promotions by organizing a series of showcases in North Carolina known as the Carolina Jump Off. In the midst of producing, performing, running a record label, and promoting shows to provide opportunity for his community, also managed to self distribute his first full LP, Hood Chronicles. This project received widespread attention from the streets as well as the World Wide Web, giving him true respect as one of the hardest working and most prominent upcoming artist that Jacksonville, and North Carolina has come to know.



The attention and support this artist had begun to gain would then lead on to further opportunity for exposure. Amtrak took full advantage of the opportunities when he won the Sony/Cingular/Xibit Supa Star Contest for his entire region hosted by the area’s most supported radio station, 92.3 The Beat. Following the recognition of this win, he then went on win the best radio single contest with Listener Station.Com which granted him air play on over 1000 stations in the country as well as a full page article in one of the industry executive favorites, The A&R Registry.



Threw out nearly a decade of hard work, success, recognition, and support, continues to aim for the very top. His most recent accomplishments of funding two of his own music videos directed by SMACK DVD, and organizing as well as distributing an NC State Wide mixtape compilation tiled Carolina Street Heat, assures him a spot in the world of Hip Hop. Keep your ears and eyes open, because you are soon to see Amtrak taking his place in the mainstream industry.
