AMBUSH UK

Ambush Uk Formed In 2005, Playing a fast and violent set of original Anarcho-punk mixed with the classic dub and ska roots which gives them the sound and edge they need to get there views across. Ambush uk have strong roots and beliefs in anti-corporation,anti-nazi (racism) and strongly believe in underground and local bands looking out for each other and would go far to help fellow bands out when possible. Ambush uk have been assosiated and signed to number of different lables over the years getting bigger and better as the time has passed, Firstly signing and ripping into the world on NoizeAnoize Music (r.i.p) were they started to find there sound and started playing local gigs as often as they could with a number of different local bands. A year passed and Ambush Uk were still signed to NoizeAnoize music managed to get some great opening slots for, GBH, The Dead Pets, The Buzzcocks and many more bands. After alot of time, blood and sweat spent into NoizeAnoize music it unfortunatly disbanded and was thought to be an end to the Biggest punk lable to come from blackburn, but shortly after a new and improved label from the original Noizeanoze music came Humdrum Punk which signed Ambush Uk as one of the first bands!



After getting bigger and better as a band Ambush Uk felt it was time to release a cd and instead of going with the usual 3 track e.p they brought out a full ablum with 12 tracks and a hidden bonus on Humdrum Punk called "Reclaim The Streets", the whole album was recorded, mix and mastered in two days! to help fit the bands lack of money, the album was recorded at Substance Studios Bastwell which is were ambush uk do all of there recordings and encourage other bands to do so and help support local opportunities. Bringing the new album out on Humdrum Punk the album did sell fairly successfully and there are now only a few copies still avaible and is no longer out for purchase.



Another year passed and Humdrum Punk became an international label and podcast and unfortunatly moved to Australia were it is still running succesfully under the one of the True and Original punks from blackburn Mr.A.F, this meant that Ambush Uk could no longer keep with the recording and giging side of this label but still to this call themselves a NoizeAnoize, Humdrum Punk band and are still in contact with the label and feature on some of the international podcasts.



In 2006/07 Ambush Uk Really worked hard on keeping there anti-corporate beliefs fresh and brought a number of new and loved underground tracks such as " A Lifes Plan Wasted", "Never Surrender", "Wont Complain When Your Dead" and "Fade Away" and still keeping with there old hit tracks "Half The World" and "Another Day" which were featured on the early album. After starting to really get moving two members from Ambush Uk felt it was time to move on and find somthing new and Ambush Uk had to quickly get new members to suite the band but never once considered cancelling gigs and carried on fighting through there sets and gigs at somtimes played a sloppy and not as good set as they had been doing in the past, Luckily Ambush Uk found there new members and worked hard to make this band of brothers the strongest it has ever been!.With these new tracks and new members Ambush Uk felt it was time to branch out again and try to find a new D.I.Y lable that they could sign and release a new cd with them. After giging around and meeting new people they came across Fight Town Records and successfully signed to Fight Town Records and began discussions and talks about gigs and possible cd and merch release and were very happy but un-fortunatly shortly after Fight Town Records disbanded and Ambush Uk once again were currently inbetween labels but this didnt effect the band in anyway possible and they went on to get gigs supporting more big bands such as 3cr, Subhumans,Sham 69 and many more. Also playing lots of well known festivals across the country trying to get better all the time and trying to gain a bigger support.



2007 and Ambush uk got themselves into Substance Studios to record another cd " A Lifes Plan Wasted" which is still avaible now on Naughty Donkey Records, Beat Drop Promotions which is an underground cd available from the band and the myspace which includes all the new and hit tracks mentioned above. Ambush Uk carried on giging and got themselves some good gigs across the country and having a great time meeting new bands and impressing un-sure spectators across the country.



2008 and Ambush Uk recently signed to the biggest label they have been on Pumpkin Records and are very happy and getting ready to bring out a new album with Pumpkin Records, lots more merchandise and will be giging for many years to come.



Ambush Uk Are a True Punk D.I.Y band and will play for anyone anywhere, but for a bit of petrol money! Depending on how far the gig is.



Commited and always turn up to gigs and play with as much effort they can give!
