“Our music is like our city, where we grew up. Everything is possible!”

Characterized and inspired by the big city influences of the cosmopolitan metropolis, filled with longings, dreams, hopes, fears and a certain chaotic romantic, which only a metropolis of over million inhabitants carries, the two young musicians explain:



“Only the one who moves, can move something.”

Who are “am2pm”?



These are Marvin and Adesse, 20 years old, born and grown up in Berlin.



The name of the band is born: am2pm! The two know each other already since their childhood. Yet at that time, they strive to be like their idols, LL Cool J, Boyz to men, and Brian McKnight. No wonder, that their music roots are anchored in R´n´B and Hip Hop. While Adesse dedicated himself to piano lessons already at the age of six years, Marvin discovered his rap talent for the first time while listening to the sounds of “MC Hammer”! Today, the oneness of Adesse's distinctive soul voice and Marvin's powerful raps embodies the unbroken special style. Both firmly believe that the fact that their paths crossed was no accident! Yet at an early age, Adesse took important decisions for his future life, he abandoned his preprogrammed soccer career.



“We just want to concentrate on our music.” Besides music, Marvin (MK) loves football! am2pm are far from being street children.



Quite the opposite, they confront fully incomprehensively the in parts existing disrespect of today's youth, and want to convey with their positive songs new basic approaches.



Because what they like doing best is just the one thing: music!



Nevertheless, both never want to neglect the closeness to their family.



Adesse´s family is spread over different continents. Both are vehement opponents of drugs and violence, not least against the tragic background of Marvin's biography, his father died far too young and needlessly.



Adesse´s grandfather, a priest from Southern Germany, formed in early years the faith of his grandchild! Their motto is: “Never loose the aim, always have an aim!” They always kept this motto uncompromisingly, performing on stage together already since they were 15 years old.



At the end of 2005, Marvin and Adesse came to R.A.D. music.sports.consulting GmbH, where they were signed by the own label.



Since then, they made their hobby to their job. Their job forms them everyday. They are supported in every concern, so that they can use their talent. Meanwhile, singing, guitar, and piano lessons form part of am2pm's daily routine. So, the two enjoy getting the final touch with the help of their producers of for whom nothing is too much or too hard for their rough diamonds. The first single “Dance with Me” acquitted well in the charts. The music video to the single was shot in summer 2006 at the French Riviera.



The video shoot to the current single “My Business” went off with a lot of fun and engagement last year and it is obvious that the two took a huge leap forward, and developed considerably.



Last winter am2pm accompanied US Superstar 50CENT for the whole of his 2007 European tour. They reached over 200,000 spectators and again demonstrated

their outstanding live performance.

On the basis of their current sales, the third single will be released

in spring 2008. The production of the album “First Down” is also complete and expected to be released in fall of this year.

"Unsere Musik ist wie unsere Stadt, in der wir groß geworden sind“ Alles ist möglich!

Geprägt und inspiriert von großstädtischen Einflüssen einer Weltstadtmetropole, angefüllt von Sehnsüchten, Träumen, Hoffnungen, Ängsten und einer gewissen Chaos-Romantik, wie sie nur eine Millionenmetropole in sich trägt, sagen die beiden jungen Musiker: "Nur wer sich bewegt, kann etwas bewegen". Wer sind "am2pm"?



Das sind Marvin und Adesse, 20 Jahre alt, in Berlin geboren und groß geworden. Der Bandname ist geboren: am2pm! Bereits seit ihrer Kindheit kennen sich die Beiden. Schon damals eiferten sie ihren Vorbildern LL Cool J, Boyz to men oder auch Brian McKnight nach. Kein Wunder, dass ihre musikalischen Wurzeln im R´n´B und Hip Hop verankert sind. Während Adesse sich schon mit sechs Jahren dem Klavierunterricht widmete, entdeckte Marvin dagegen bei den Klängen von "MC Hammer" erstmals sein Raptalent! Heute verkörpert das Miteinander der unverwechselbaren Soulstimme von Adesse und des kraftvollen Raps von Marvin seinen ganz eigenen Stil. Beide glauben fest daran, dass es kein Zufall war, dass sie sich über den Weg gelaufen sind.



Adesse konnte schon im jungen Alter wichtige Entscheidungen für sein weiteres Leben treffen, hängte seine vorprogrammierte Fußballkarriere an den Nagel. „Wir wollten uns nur noch auf die Musik konzentrieren". Neben der Musik liebt Marvin (MK) den Football! am2pm sind alles andere als Straßenkinder. Im Gegenteil, sie treten der teils vorhandenen Respektlosigkeit der heutigen Jugend vor Werten mit großem Unverständnis entgegen, wollen mit ihren positiven Songs neue Ansätze geben. Denn am Liebsten machen sie nur eines: Musik!



Beide möchten dennoch nie den Kontakt zu ihrer Familie vernachlässigen. Adesse´s Familie ist über mehrere Kontinente verteilt. Beide sind vehemente Gegner von Drogen und Gewalt, nicht zuletzt vor dem tragischen Hintergrund von Marvins Biografie, dessen Vater viel zu jung und sinnlos starb. Adesse´s Großvater, ein Pfarrer aus Süddeutschland, prägte früh den Glauben seines Enkels! Ihr Motto lautet: "Nie das Ziel verlieren, immer ein Ziel haben!" Diesem blieben sie stets treu und stehen nun schon seit ihrem 15. Lebensjahr gemeinsam auf der Bühne.



Ende 2005 kamen Marvin und Adesse zur R.A.D. music.sports.consulting GmbH, wo sie vom hauseigenen Label gesigned wurden. Seitdem haben sie ihr Hobby zum Beruf gemacht, werden täglich geprägt und auf jeder Ebene unterstützt, um ihr Talent nutzen zu können. Gesangs-, Gitarren-, und Klavierunterricht gehören mittlerweile zum Alltag von am2pm. So genießen die beiden den Schliff der Macher von ihrem Label, denen nichts zuviel oder zu schade ist für ihre Rohdiamanten.



Die erste Single "Dance with Me" hat sich gut in den Charts gehalten und das Musikvideo dazu wurde im Sommer 2006 an der Côte d´Azur gedreht. Auch in letzten Jahr ging der Videodreh der aktuellen Single „My Business“ mit viel Spaß und Engagement über die Bühne und man kann deutlich erkennen, welchen Sprung die Beiden gemacht haben und welche Entwicklung stattgefunden hat.



am2pm haben im Winter 2007 die komplette Europatour von US Superstar 50 CENT als Supportact begleitet, weit über 200.000 Zuschauer erreicht und damit ein weiteres Mal ihre hervorragende Livepräsenz bewiesen.



Aufgrund der derzeitigen Marktsituation ist zum Frühjahr dieses Jahres die Veröffentlichung der dritten Single geplant. Das Album „First Down“ ist bereits fertig produziert und wird voraussichtlich im Herbst 2008 veröffentlicht.
