Minnesota Songbird Alison Rae grew up singing. music was always in her heart, and there had to be a way to get it out. You can hear it in her voice. the purity, the longing, the heartache. There is nothing contrived about it.
Alison started making up songs at a young age. always singing. in the church choir, in a touring band, on two lullaby albums for Target stores. She found her voice for writing somewhere along the way, and with the help of musician friend and producer Tim Frantzich, she recorded the songs that make up her debut album. The album was recorded live in just a few days in the summer of 2007. Her selftitled debut album features such luminaries as Noah Levy, Joe Savage, Tim Frantzich, John Munson, Peter Ostroushko and Dan Chouinard.
Alison Rae has been a guest on MPR's morning show, 89.3 the current, and "Womenfolk" on KFAI, as well as played shows at many favorite local venues, The Bryant Lake Bowl Theater, The Cedar Cultural Center, The Fine Line, Pantages, and The Turf Club.
