Der Zucker für die Seele könnte man es bezeichnen. In dessen steckt jedoch viel mehr. Wir haben es uns zur Aufgabe gemacht, eine Vielzahl an Medien, sowie musikalischen Ereignisse in unsere Veranstaltungen einfließen zu lassen.



Ein ultimatives Zusammentreffen von Musikern, Schauspielern, Produzenten, Models, Geschäftsleuten und vor allem Partypeople. Ob Business-Talk oder ausgelassenes Feiern, es soll für jeden was dabei sein. Das Auge sollte sich bei unseren Veranstaltungen, nie dauerhaft auf einen Punkt fokussieren. Wir wollen unser Publikum mit einer Vielzahl an unvergesslichen Geschehen in Bewegung halten, so der Veranstalter. Akay delivers the goods in fine form. His infectious Pop music meets with Soul and Funk and is made to tear up the dancefloor with its high-class production. Akay is an artist with a high potential and that's no secret. The album features 14 great songs that range from uptempo smashers to jaw dropping ballads. Akay's remake of the classic "Sexual Healing" has been on high rotation with the world's best DJs for months now. Songs like the driving "Comfort Zone" or "So Good" speak for themselves and for the artist.



Akay's album was recorded and produced at Peppermint Jam records' own studio. Dutch producer Jan van der Toorn, who has worked with Akay before, brought him to Peppermint Jam's attention and started recording demos with him. The demos found their way to label co-owner Mousse T. who immediately liked them and who suggested to record a full album.



The album was recorded with an international sound in mind. Several musicians were flown in and a lot of the recordings were done live. Guest singers like Rah Digga (of Flipmode Squad) or Montell Jordan, who sang on „Not Like Me", only added to the great overall vibe and the mix by Hans Martin Buff (ex-personal studio engineer of Prince in his Paisley Park Studios, who had already mixed records by legends as Chaka Khan, Larry Graham, No Doubt etc.) secures the international flair.



It was very important for Akay to be involved in the songwriting process from day one. He was always inspired by artists like Stevie Wonder and Boyz II Men and also by producer Jan van der Toorn. "I couldn't have done it without Jan. He gave me so much power and taught me so much. Everything simply came together at the recording sessions." boasts a happy Akay.
